BakePilot is the operations system I built for a small, private or hobby bakery, with one goal driving every feature: waste as little as possible, and spend as little time on bookkeeping as possible. It runs recipes with nested sub-recipes and per-link waste margins, costs them all the way down to ingredients, packaging, labour and even oven and mixer energy, then works backwards from a scheduled bake to tell you when the starter needs feeding and the pre-dough needs mixing. Inventory tracks stock lot by lot with best-before dates, reserves what planned bakes will consume, and warns you before you run short. Pricing grosses margin up through card fees and VAT for dine-in and take-away. Everything is self-hosted: one server on a machine in the building, with phones and laptops as clients over the local network or a private VPN. No cloud, no subscription, one database, boring backups that always work.
